This MR changes the need to manually make changes to resolv.conf, by using the newly created knightly-network:

This worked. I created a new knightly-network and knightly-router (uab-campus external interface) . I added an interface on the knightly-network to the cheaha-openstack-router (cheaha external interface). I then created a static route in the knightly-router which routes 172.20.0.0/16 to the cheaha-openstack-router.
